The Litter-Robot simply requires clumping litter to function. We recommend using a high-quality, standard-weight, clay-based clumping litter. You can also use silica gel litter beads and crystals as long as they can pass through the screen. Our Litter-Robot 4 features an enlarged waste drawer for increased waste capacity, reducing the frequency of emptying.

While we recommend up to 4 indoor cats per single Litter-Robot, many of our customers have successfully used a single unit for more cats. Litter-Robot 4's enlarged waste drawer provides even more capacity for multiple cats.

If for any reason your cat refuses to use the Litter-Robot, we offer a 90-day full refund policy. Simply return the Litter-Robot within 90 days of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price.

Litter-Robot does not have a weight limit. Whether your cat is large or small, the decision to use the Litter-Robot is up to them. Size and weight rarely have an impact on a cat's adoption of the Litter-Robot.

The frequency of emptying the waste drawer depends on the number of cats using the Litter-Robot. With Litter-Robot 3, one cat typically requires emptying once every 10-12 days, two cats twice per week, and three cats every other day. The enlarged waste drawer of Litter-Robot 4 means you may not need to empty it as frequently.
